Terms of use

Plain-language terms for using AgeCare. They sit alongside our privacy commitments.

Template notice. This page is a starting point drafted for the product, not reviewed legal advice. Have counsel review it against your jurisdiction and your billing arrangements before launch.

1. What AgeCare is

AgeCare is a coordination tool for families and care professionals. It keeps a shared record of medications, health readings, appointments, tasks, visits, documents and messages, and shows each person the part of it they've been granted.

2. What AgeCare is not

  • Not a medical device. It does not diagnose, screen for or measure any condition, and it does not give dosing advice. Information in the app is decision support and does not replace professional medical judgement.
  • Not an emergency service. AgeCare does not contact emergency services. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
  • Not a monitoring guarantee. Reminders, alerts and signals depend on devices, networks and people. Do not rely on the app as the only safeguard for someone's wellbeing.

3. Accounts and the care record

The person being cared for owns their record. A coordinator holds it on their behalf, with their agreement, and that role can be transferred. If you invite someone into a care network, you're confirming you have the right to share that information with them.

You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for the accuracy of what you enter. Don't use AgeCare to record information about someone who has not agreed to be part of the network.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use AgeCare to monitor someone covertly, to harass anyone, to break the law, or to attempt to access a record you haven't been granted. We may suspend an account that does.

5. Plans and payment

Paid plans renew until cancelled. Cancellation stops the next renewal and keeps your access until the end of the paid period. Where a purchase is made through the App Store or Google Play, that store's refund policy applies. Export of your data is free at any time.

6. Availability

We work to keep AgeCare available and correct, but we provide it "as is" and cannot promise uninterrupted service. We'll tell you about planned changes that affect how you use it.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, AgeCare is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions taken in reliance on information in the app rather than on professional advice. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Ending your use

You can close your account at any time. Doing so produces an export and then a deletion, subject to any audit records we're required to retain. Where a family member's wish to keep history conflicts with the record owner's wish to remove it, we resolve it in favor of the record owner.

9. Changes

If these terms change materially, we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
