About

One record for growing old at home

Most people want to grow old in their own home. What usually ends that is rarely a single medical event, but the growing feeling in the family that nobody quite knows what's going on.

Why we built it

The families we talked to weren't short of software. They had a pill reminder, a blood-pressure app, a shared calendar, a group chat, a folder of scans and a login to the agency's portal. Six systems, none of which knew about each other, and a parent who used none of them.

So the sibling in another city asked "how is she?" and got an answer assembled from memory. The doctor got a verbal summary. The caregiver wrote a note that stayed in the agency's system. Everything was recorded somewhere, but nobody had the whole picture.

AgeCare is the opposite arrangement: one record, written to by everyone involved, read by each of them through a view that suits their role and a permission set the family controls.

What we believe

  1. The record matters most. Any single feature can be copied. A care record the whole family has kept together for years is what becomes worth keeping.
  2. The senior owns their record. Even when a relative pays for it, and they can always see what is shared about them.
  3. Private by default. Nobody sees new data until they are given access to it.
  4. No diagnosis. The app compares a person with their own history and leaves interpretation to clinicians.
  5. People make the emergency decisions. The app prepares the information, and a person acts on it.
  6. We don't sell health data. And we never will.

The model

Two sides of the same record

Families bring in their agencies, and agencies bring in their families. It is the same product either way.

For families

It starts free, because a daily routine that stays on track is worth something immediately. History, summaries and the records vault start to matter after the first incident, and permissions matter the moment a second person is involved.

For agencies and operators

The same record runs the operational side: residents, staffing, coverage, compliance and analytics. Scheduling isn't the hard part of this business; keeping families confident is. Every completed visit in AgeCare is something the family can see for themselves.

Built for every pair of hands

AgeCare runs on iPhone, iPad and Android, in light and dark, in every role, including Senior Mode.

  • Large, easy touch targets everywhere, and larger still in Senior Mode.
  • The text size you set on your phone is respected throughout.
  • Status is never communicated by color alone. Always an icon plus words.
  • Charts come with spoken summaries, so a screen-reader user gets the trend, not a blank rectangle.
  • The permissions the family sets decide who can see what, and they apply everywhere.

Where we are

Today: the family product. The family, senior, caregiver, clinician and agency experiences are complete. We're now connecting accounts, invitations and notifications so your whole care circle can join.

Next: watches and sensors. Readings from the devices your parent already wears, compared with their own history. Every reading shows where it came from, and none of it is a diagnosis.

Later: the wider circle. Clinics, pharmacies and insurers, entered carefully and only where it helps the family.
